Pharmaceuticals Pricing Board Organizes a Hearing Session for Pharmaceutical Companies

Due to the strong interest shown in the additional hearing session organized in May 2026, the Pharmaceuticals Pricing Board will once again arrange hearing sessions in autumn 2026. The dates of the autumn 2026 sessions are 12 November 2026 (approximately 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon) and/or 19 November 2026 (approximately 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon).

During these sessions, companies will have the opportunity to present current information to the Chairpersons of the Pharmaceuticals Pricing Board and its Expert Group, the Board members and the Secretariat concerning:

  • new medicinal products under development that are likely to enter the Finnish market in the coming years and for which reimbursement under the Health Insurance Act will be sought;
  • potential new indications for medicinal products already available on the Finnish market, for which reimbursement is intended to be applied.

The event is not intended for discussions around medicinal products that are already undergoing the national application process, nor are the sessions intended to provide guidance on preparing reimbursement and pricing applications for medicinal products. Information provided during registration and presentations will be used solely for the internal purposes of the Chairpersons, members and Secretariat of the Pharmaceuticals Pricing Board.

Companies interested in participating are requested to register with the Secretariat of the Pharmaceuticals Pricing Board at hila.stm@gov.fi by 8 October 2026.When registering, companies are asked to provide a brief description of the proposed presentation content (it is recommended to present 1 to 2 topics) and the estimated timetable for submitting a reimbursement application. In addition, information on the persons participating in the hearing and the contact details of a contact person should be provided.

The hearing event will be held as an in-person meeting at the Government premises. Companies are requested to limit the number of participants to those whose attendance is relevant to the presentation. Remote participation may be arranged for special reasons. Any such need should be indicated at the time of registration.

Each company will be allocated a 30 minutes timeslot, including any discussion. A maximum of 10 hearing slots have been reserved. Based on the registrations received, the companies with the most relevant and timely topics from the perspective of the Finnish pharmaceutical market will be invited to present at the hearing. The Pharmaceuticals Pricing Board will notify companies that registered their interest to participate the hearing events of its selections by 22 October 2026.
